I guess people like eating at a crap restaurant. Kind of like someone would say you like school on Sunday, no class.No, but the full song isn't just about Applebee's. They just latched onto the part that is and made a crappy commercial out of it. What I gather from the single time I've listened to the song is that he's describing his girlfriend as a sweet, low-maintenance country girl who's perfectly happy going to Applebee's for date night.
